Hello! I am Juan, the founder of Reinos de Taifas. I was born in Córdoba, Andalucía, in southern Spain.

How it all started

When I moved to the UK, I felt homesick. I missed Spain—my family, the sunshine, and the food that brought us together. Nothing tasted the same, especially the olive oil. It was more than just food; it was a link to my roots. I realised others must feel the same longing for home. That was when I decided to share my family’s olive oil. Reinos de Taifas began in a small rented room, born from the desire to bring a taste of Spain to those far from home.

Andalucía tradition

In Andalucía, one sees an endless expanse of olive trees. I witnessed the tradition and passion that go into producing olive oil. It is more than just a kitchen essential; our Spanish olive oil symbolises heritage and well-being. Every bottle of Reinos de Taifas encapsulates the authentic taste of southern Spain.

Juan has always been passionate about history, and one of his hobbies is reading historical books. During the Reinos de Taifas period, olive oil was considered highly valuable and often given as a gift. This inspired the creation of our brand, Reinos de Taifas.
