Our Story

Hi there! I am Juan, the founder of Reinos de Taifas. I was born in Andalucia, South of Spain, where 50% of the world’s olive oil is produced. My family has been sustainably farming olive trees and producing extra virgin olive oil in Castro del Río, Córdoba, since around 1700. I grew up with extra virgin olive oil as a staple.

When I moved to the UK, I tasted several olive oil brands but found that the best ones came from home. That is when I decided to use my entrepreneurial spirit with my family’s rich history and bring our olive oil to the UK, sharing it with the community, friends and local businesses.

With my background as a healthcare professional – a qualified pharmacist and nutritionist – I believe that health starts in the kitchen, with quality ingredients. Our extra virgin olive oil is something you would proudly place on your family table and share with loved ones.
