Hi there! I am Juan, the founder of Reinos de Taifas. I was born in Andalucia, the South of Spain, which produces 50% of the world’s olive oil, including some of the best olive oils in the world. My family has grown olive trees in Spain since circa 1700 in Castro del Río, Córdoba. I grew up consuming extra virgin olive oil all my life.
When I moved to the UK, I used extra virgin olive oils from the supermarket. I tasted several brands and thought the best quality extra virgin olive oil was still back home. Finally, I decided to use my entrepreneurial inquisitiveness to share my family’s extra virgin olive oil with the community, friends and local businesses in the UK.
